The CTCA Trusted Seller designation is not a guarantee of any individual transaction, product, or seller performance. It means a seller has completed CTCA certification requirements and voluntarily agreed to operate according to defined standards and remain accountable to them.
Completed applicable CTCA identity and/or business verification requirements.
Agreed to the CTCA Trusted Seller Code of Conduct.
Committed to accurate product representation, appropriate disclosures, and clear transaction terms.
Completed required CTCA Trusted Seller education.
Subject to ongoing certification requirements and CTCA's applicable complaint and disciplinary processes.
13 Trusted Seller Standards
Every CTCA Trusted Seller agrees to uphold 13 core standards:
Accurately represent cards, collectibles, products, services, and transaction terms.
Never knowingly sell counterfeit, fraudulent, altered, or materially misrepresented products.
Disclose known material defects, alterations, restoration, trimming, damage, or other relevant condition issues.
Clearly communicate pricing and avoid intentionally deceptive pricing practices.
Clearly disclose applicable payment terms, shipping terms, fees, return policies, and other material transaction conditions.
Do not knowingly misrepresent grading status, estimated grade, grading company, certification number, or holder authenticity.
Take reasonable steps to avoid trafficking in stolen collectibles and cooperate appropriately when credible stolen-property concerns arise. Where applicable, CTCA encourages use of the Global Trading Card Registry (GTCR) to Trust Check eligible graded cards before transactions.
Conduct transactions honestly and without deceptive, coercive, or fraudulent practices.
Appropriately safeguard personal and transaction information obtained from collectors.
Treat collectors, sellers, show operators, and other industry participants professionally.
Respond to legitimate transaction complaints and cooperate with applicable CTCA review processes.
Comply with applicable laws and the rules of marketplaces, shows, platforms, and venues through which the seller operates.
Maintain CTCA certification requirements and understand that serious or repeated violations may result in suspension or revocation of Trusted Seller status.

Review and electronically agree to the CTCA Trusted Seller Code of Conduct.

Maintain certification requirements and renew certification as required by CTCA.

Collectors who believe a CTCA Trusted Seller may have violated the Trusted Seller Code of Conduct can submit a documented complaint to CTCA. CTCA may review allegations involving potential violations of its certification standards in accordance with applicable CTCA policies and procedures.
