ABOUT THE CTCA
The Certified Trading Card Association (CTCA) is the first and only 501(c)(6) nonprofit national trade association for the trading card industry, created to strengthen trust, transparency, standards, and long-term sustainability across the hobby.
The trading card industry has experienced incredible growth — but with growth has come new challenges: fraud, theft, bad actors, inconsistent standards, lack of representation, market confusion, and increasing fragmentation.
The CTCA was created to help solve these challenges. We believe the future of the hobby depends on collaboration over division, standards over uncertainty, and community over chaos. Whether you are a collector, card shop, breaker, grading company, marketplace, technology provider, creator, manufacturer, or hobby business — the CTCA exists to help build a better future for everyone involved.
To create a safer, smarter, and stronger trading card hobby through trust, transparency, standards, education, advocacy, and industry collaboration.
To become the leading organization helping shape the future of the trading card industry by bringing together collectors, businesses, creators, and industry leaders around a shared mission:
The trading card hobby is one of the most passionate communities in the world — but it lacks a central organization focused on the long-term health of the industry. For too long, major challenges have existed without coordinated solutions:
The CTCA was founded to help bring the industry together and create real solutions that improve trust, safety, transparency, and sustainability.
Helping create a safer, healthier, and more transparent hobby experience.
Supporting stronger businesses, better resources, advocacy, and community growth.
Encouraging trust, transparency, and professionalism.
Working toward education, best practices, collaboration, and stronger consumer confidence.
Supporting safer transactions, stronger trust systems, and hobby infrastructure.
Helping strengthen the long-term future of the hobby.
Unlike traditional hobby groups or online communities, the CTCA is focused on industry advancement, collaboration, and long-term solutions.
The CTCA believes that when the hobby becomes safer, smarter, and stronger — everyone wins.
The CTCA is building programs and initiatives designed to strengthen every area of the hobby.
