TRANSPARENT COLLECTIBLES CERTIFIED

A Higher Standard for Transparency in Collectibles

Transparent Collectibles Certified (TCC) is a standards-based certification program created to promote transparency, accountability, and trust in the trading card and collectibles market.

Transparent Collectibles Certified

TCC is designed for manufacturers, publishers, and other eligible entities that want to demonstrate responsible print-run controls, accurate disclosures, disciplined recordkeeping, and a real commitment to market integrity.

TCC certification shows that an entity has met TCC standards within an approved scope. It is not a blanket endorsement of every product, claim, or business activity, and it does not remove all collector risk. What it does provide is a structured, credible framework for transparency and verification.

What TCC Certification Means

When an entity is approved for TCC certification, it means that entity has satisfied TCC requirements for the specific products, processes, or activities included within its approved certification scope.

Why It Matters

Trust is one of the most valuable assets in collectibles. TCC exists to help bring greater clarity to the market by setting expectations around transparency, disclosure, and responsible operational practices.

Certified Entities Are Expected To

Accurate Records

Maintain accurate and reviewable records.

Print-Run Controls

Follow documented print-run and reprint controls.

Traceability

Support traceability within approved scope.

Authorized Badge Use

Use the TCC badge only as authorized.

Cooperation

Cooperate with review, audit, and corrective action requirements.

What TCC Reviews

TCC standards are designed to evaluate whether an entity has the controls and documentation necessary to support transparency.

Legal entity and authority verification

Product and scope review

Print-run documentation

Reprint disclosure controls

Inventory reconciliation

Security and record-retention controls

Badge usage and public claims

Corrective action and enforcement history when applicable

Badge Use and Public Claims

The TCC badge may only be used with written approval and only within the approved certification scope. It may not be used in a way that is misleading, altered, exaggerated, or broader than the certification actually granted.

If certification is suspended, revoked, expired, or otherwise limited, badge use must stop as directed by TCC.

Reprints and Disclosure

Where applicable, certified entities must maintain documented reprint controls and provide clear disclosure regarding reprints, reruns, or materially changed production. TCC expects transparency that helps the market distinguish original releases from later production activity.

Audits, Corrective Action, and Enforcement

TCC may conduct initial, renewal, follow-up, or for-cause reviews and audits. If deficiencies or violations are identified, TCC may require corrective action, impose restrictions, suspend certification, or revoke certification in accordance with its standards and procedures.

TCC Certification Does Not Mean

Every product issued by a certified entity is automatically certified

TCC guarantees future conduct or performance

TCC warrants value, authenticity, or investment outcome

TCC assumes responsibility for third-party resale activity or collector decisions

Verification and Scope

Collectors, partners, and the public should rely on the certified entity's approved scope and any official TCC verification information made available by TCC. Certification applies only to the scope granted and should always be read together with any stated limitations, conditions, or status updates.
